Richland Center, WI:  Richland County Emergency Management Director, Darin Gudgeon announced that a final virtual Emergency Operations Center (EOC) meeting was held on March 24, 2022 to share information between Richland County officials and community partners in a joint response to the COVID-19 pandemic. EOC meetings have now been paused and Incident Command operations have halted until further notice.

Richland County Public Health Officer, Rose Kohout noted that FREE COVID-19 vaccination clinics will continue to be held at Richland County Health & Human Services, 221 W. Seminary Street, Richland Center on WEDNESDAYS from 1-4:30pm.  Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome for ADULTS ONLY.  Individuals should call Health and Human Services at 608-649-5795 to schedule an appointment.

Gudgeon reported on the number of individuals tested at the FREE COVID-19 drive-thru community testing events held in March.  On March 14th 3 individuals were tested, another 4 were tested on March 21st, and 5 individuals were tested on March 28th.  The results of these 12 tests were included in the appropriate county’s totals once they were received and verified.  Gudgeon stated “we have decided to modify our drive-thru testing schedule at the Richland County Fairgrounds starting in April.  Testing on MONDAYS will be reduced to just 1 hour from 10am-11am, but we are also offering a second hour of testing on THURSDAYS from 10am-11am.”  Appointments are not required, but we are asking that those who wish to be tested pre-register at https://register.covidconnect.wi.gov.  The schedule is as follows (subject to change):
